Dr. Karl Jicha
Dr. Jicha is a sociology lecturer and academic adviser at the Agricultural Institute (AGI). This is the second year he will serve as the co-instructor and co-director for this course, and he previously served as a chaperon during the 2014 trip. Dr. Jicha specializes in the sociology of agriculture and rural society, community, international development, and the adoption/diffusion of technology. Ms. Erin Meachum
Ms. Meachum is a writing lecturer at the AGI. She is also the co-instructor and co-director of this program. Previously, she served as the Instructional Designer and Communications Coordinator for this course and also served as a chaperon during the 2015 trip. She has extensive overseas experiences, having been to over 15 countries in the European Union alone and has visited the UK multiple times. Mrs. Candice Jicha
Mrs. Jicha is the director for the Business Services department in Facilities Operations at NC State University. She holds a masters in accounting and will serve as the budget officer and chaperon for this upcoming trip. She can be reached at 919.513.0561, ccmitche@ncsu.edu.
Ms. Alyssa Degreenia
Alyssa is graduate student in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and is currently working towards her master’s in agricultural education. Before serving as a chaperon for this trip, she worked on several Alternative Spring Break trips.
